Don't be scared! When I first started Cheerleading I also was scared to tumble. I used to just sit and watch all my friends tumble while all I could do was a cartwheel(one handed and two) and a roundoff not worth anything! However, as I eventually got over my fear of tumbling I decided(on my own with out any proffesionial help)to try and get a backwalkover. As it turns out(after one[1] week) I finally got it. ----------------------------------------- If you want I could give you some tumbling tips: 1.stretch out completly! (make sure you stretch out your back especically!) 2.only practice tumbling on a flat, non-slip, padded surface. (if only house-hold carpet is available, then that is fine) ---------------------------------------- start with simple stuff fist:foward and back rolls and cartwheels and/or roundoffs(first two handed then one). Once you've mastured that you should be able to move on to harder things. Try doing a bridge and hold it for at least 80 seconds. Once you are able to do that try doing a back bend without falling down(if you must, have someone spot you)and hold it. After you got that then walk your hands in really close to your feet, then lock your elbows(as you would in a cartwheel) and kick your legs over. Hopefully you'll land on your feet, if not just keep practicing and you should eventully get it.HAVE FUN and GOOD LUCK!!!!
