I am not a big fan of pitching machines as they tend to make "front foot hitters". It will be much cheaper and he will be a much better hitter if you get some Pickleballs (available at tips from the coach.com) and you can throw quality BP to him right in the backyard without worry about breaking the neighbors windows or spending the bucks for a cage.
