Out-of-District Players

By: Chip

Thought I'd ask you folks for some sanity and objectivity on a local question. Of course, reading some of Jon's posts, the insanity isn't limited to Florida.

Next week, our all-star team plays its first game against a neighboring league. Two of the opposing teams' top players are neighbors -- i.e., they live well inside our territory. Little leagues are designed for geographical equality, and it's a competitive disadvantage to play against the top players in our own area.

Has anyone else had this experience? Should we challenge or just let bygones be bygones? What is the procedure for a challenge, and how do district officials react?

Thanks for your input.
