LL Farm(7&8) rule question.

When my son played at this age level we also faced this same problem. We played in a highly competitive park with a great amount of emphasis on player development . We wanted to to teach the fundamentals of good throwing and catching . We modified rule two to: read play is stoped when a play is attempted at a base i.e runner going to second infield attempts to make the out at second play stops when the throw gets away from the shortstop, no more advancement of the runners . This gets every player in the the game not just the picture. I do not know if you would be able to apply this in to a LL program
