Pitching and Hitting
By: Jim Dixon
Dear Athlete, Will you please let me move you over there? I will do a great job. I will supervise the movement using muscles you don’t even know you have. I will do a better job that you can do yourself. I will do it without causing injury. I will use all of your resources when I do it. I will choose the most efficient way to do it. If you let me supervise it for you, you will be free to think about the game. If you let me do it for you I can move the front half of the torso just like the Hall of Fame Athlete moves his torso and you can’t do that can you? If you let me do it for you, you are more likely to throw a ball 95 mph that moves so much it cannot be hit. If you let me do it for you, you will be able to hit any pitch you can reach 4-500’. Will you “let” me do the movement for you? Will you allow me to move your body for you from place to place without you being in charge, without you supervising the movement? If you will “let” me supervise the movement for you and let Jim and Sean Dixon show you what your intentions should be we will get the 95 mph delivery and the 50 Homerun swing down pat. Are you ready? Sincerely,
The Engine Supervisor Computer Module for Overseeing Movement PS The difference between you supervising the movement yourself and me, The Engine Supervisor supervising the movement for you is radical. When you supervise the movement yourself you use what you know, what you can see, and what you can feel. Your mind can only handle a few things at the time. No offense. But when you supervise movement you exclude the muscle mass deep in the torso. You mostly use your arms and legs. When I am allowed to supervise the movement for you I will consider all the available muscle count. I will begin the movement deep in the torso and use muscles you never heard of. I will even hook up your arms and legs differently. I don’t know myself but people tell me the more muscles that are used the less you have to work to produce Exceptional results. Note: The difference in the two operating systems, when you supervise and when I supervise is so dramatic that those Dixon’s at Exceptional Player thought they had discovered a new movement center, a new Engine, a new source of movement. Actually this is what they did when they found me but instead of a new Engine they discovered the natural way to operate the Engine. Everyone has an Engine, 430 muscles or so and everyone can “let” me operate it. Put the discovery the Dixon’s made about me beside, exceptionalplayer.com, the intentions of the great hitter or pitcher that the Dixon’s uncovered, ie, “causing the movement with the front half of the torso”, and the results are dramatic. But let me warn you, without me doing the supervising of the Engine the new intentions are useless because it is impossible to do them with manual supervision of the arms and legs. Hello 95 mph and 500' Homerun Swing. There are 3 requirements of the Bonds swing or the Ryan pitch. >Intention.............what movement you wish to make. >Identify the area you want to do the work with. >Learn the difference in doing the work, movement yourself and allowing the Engine Supervisor to do the work for you. "Make it or let it." Athletes in general choose the wrong intentions, ones that match the results of another's swing or delivery, they have no knowledge of the torso as a work center, and they make whatever movement they do hitting or pitching manually, self-supervised, which limits the number of muscles that become involved. When they fail to measure up to the phenom athlete they blame it on the lack of gift.
