Is select better baseball as far as talent? Yes. However everyone seems to forget that there are boundaries in LL but not in select ball(for the most part). And if there are boundaries in select ball they always seem to cover a much larger area than most LL's. Please give the LL people some slack on this issue. Hey, I know alot of kids playing select that might not even start on a LL all star team. I'm sure these kids, you know the kids that play an inning here and an inning there, are "thrilled" to play select ball when they could shine playing LL. Too bad most parents don't see it that way. Yes I understand LL has some crazy rules, but select ball coaches and board members usually make up their own rules that probably favor their own kids as well. Wherever you go, wherever you see youth baseball being played there are alot of things that are right and alot of things wrong with the situation we put these kids in. I may sound like a LL backer, however I've never been involved in LL and have been involved in select ball the past 12 seasons and let me tell you, Ive seen some really bad rules and some really harsh treatment toward many kids in select ball. When a kid makes a select ball team they and their parents always think it's the greatest thing going, and sometimes it is but many are in for a rude awakening! OK people, start bashing.......NOW!!!
