Pitching Machine

Tim, What age group are you coaching? If 12U, I don't think you need a 2 wheel machine to throw breaking pitches as most batters don't face those pitches yet. A JUGS, Jr. is much lighter(important if you can't leave it set up) and more versatile. I have one and also have a 2 wheeler available to me but seldom use it. I use the JUGS, Jr. to throw consistent fly balls and grounders. Great equalizer for tryouts. Lots of reps for practice. Some of the pitches have movement depending on the condition of the ball and the orientation of the seams when it hits the wheel. The Iron Mike is good but no breaking stuff and don't think you can hand feed it. It's slightly better than a wheel machine in a cage but there is NO substitute for a real pitcher when it comes to timing.
