Anyone else disgusted?

I didn't see it, but probably would have been PO'd too. But what do you expect? Everyone wants these kids to be miniature Major Leaguers, with all of the attending celebrity.

It isn't enough to just play ball, they have to be the biggest, fastest, strongest and most mature players because that's what the today's coaches and parents beat into their heads. Failure is no longer an option and anything less than perfection brings on castigation, even if you don't see it. The kids have to play the best to be the best and anything less than being #1 means failure.

Danny Almonte was the kind of celebrity who everyone remembers for the brightness of their light rather than why it was shining. That's what we've come to. When coaches allow a kid to throw 120 pitches in a game and they lose, he's an idiot and child abuser. But if the team wins, it was something that had to be done because you only get there once!

You know why the media does that. It gets people to watch which means they be able to sell more advertising which means they'll make more money. I understand that one of the major glove manufacturers either offered him a deal or wants to offer him a deal or something. If there is a glove that comes out with his name on it, it will sell!

You're right, LL Inc could have and should have banned him and the other perpetrators of the scam the same way they ban an obnoxious parent.

I have to admit that I laughed when I saw the monster walk. I didn't see much difference in that and when that one team was waving their arms, signifying angels in the outfield, as though God was somehow watching over them personally. I'm not saying I liked it, I just try not to get too upset at anything a 12YO does short of cursing, stealing or stabbing someone with a knife.

The LL officials did what they could. They warned them and it was stopped. Would you want them kicked out of the tournament for that when there are many parents who yell "miss it" when a kid on their team hits a pop up or claps and screams in joy when a little kid throws one away?

Another one I really like is when a kid gives up a jack and is all upset on the mound and the other teams parents and coaches are hollering that they knew the batter could rip that kid because he wasn't that good!

You bet they should do something about those mean, rotten kids taunting those sweet children. Then they should go slap the snot out of the parents who caused it!
