Jr Olympic Rules Questions. Help Rich!

Thanx!

That's what I thought!

I know the way our league does it is cockeyed, but from what our state association says, as long as the entire league is doing it the same way, they don't really care. But, in tournaments, it will be applied correctly.

Please do me a favor and tell me what book you got that 3.04-3 reference from.

I sent my questions to NFHS, not to prove I was right or they were wrong, but rather that NFHS should make sure that if someone is using their rules for an event like that one, they should definitely be interested in seeing them applied correctly!

Just a note you may find interesting, when I was having this "discussion" with this official Team USA scorekeeper, I told him that I'd been keeping score for several years but never heard the rules interpreted the way they were interpreting them.

Are you ready for his answer?

He looked me right in the eyes with a straight face and said, "I'm a HS coach and been doing this event for 5 years." "I think I know what the rulebook says."

I don't hold anything against anyone because I appreciate all the time and effort they put into such a great event for the players. I just like to see the rules applied correctly because it makes it so much easier on everyone!
