Why do kids play both? Rec & Competitive

581 Well Paul the problem the way I see it is if players are going to play both. There is an injustice because their also going to want to play All Stars and play competitive (AAU) and are going to miss practices during rec and All Stars plus tournaments while taking up roaster space from a kid who wants to play and is going to be thier most of the time if not all the time. What ever happened to team play if your part of a team you play & practice with that team. (and this goes if they are playing AAU baseball,Soccer,Hockey etc.)
Just my opinion I'll get off my soap box now.
