New Bat for 13 Year-Old Hitter

Well, 13Us and bats...

This view may not be popular but, I'd first like to ask a question? Is your 13 yo in 7th or 8th grade? If he's an 8th grader, and he has any aspirations of playing HS ball, I would suggest thinking about a -5 bat this year... I think this year would be a much better time for a transition year than his freshman HS year.

And as we all know there is movement around to limit the ratio to -3. My son who won't turn 13 until May and is in the 7th grade (5-7 125) has been using a 32/25 for the last year and now he's are planning to start using a 32/27 soon...

As far as which one... Which one feels the best and is within your budget... Don't be swayed by the Techno Hype... My son has a 2 year old C-core Reflex ($89) that several of his teamates (who had Z-cores that cracked) now borrow. It has been is use since last fall and is still providing the hits... With at least a weekly, batting cage session, sometimes up to three sessions per....
