Switch hitting

I'm in a little different situation.

My son throws and does most things RH, but ever since he first picked up a bat he swung LH and no way was DAD going to change that. So now my son swings only LH.

We have thought about swinging RHed and tried it somethimes... If nothing else just for the change of pace. I personally think my son could pick up hitting RH pretty easily but thus far in his career, he has faced 95% RH Pitching so what's the use.

My idea is ... he needs as much work as he can get on the left side so why waste time batting RHed at this point in his career.

Now, my younger son bats RHed and I will seriously consider having him try to hit LH when he's around 11 or 12. But again, it will require twice the work if not more... and I'm not so sure my younger son is up for the challenge... I want my sons to master one side before going to try another.

PLUS i like what Bear said... Teach the batters to hit "same arm" pitcher's curveball.
