Switch hitting
By: Gordon
Yes, I work with kids almost daily. Switch-hitting takes practice, and patience. Start with the batting stance , Next get his stride foot moving (4-8) inches this will be determined by his balance, then have him turn his back foot like he's killing a bug. that's the foot work. When he's ready to start swinging the bat . Start with a batting "T" , after he get's preety good at taking the bat to the ball then start soft-tossing. I believe you see what's next . Pitch to him , use tennis ball or wiffle balls he'll feel alittle akward at first, keep his safety in mind. Then , move up to baseballs & pitching machine. It's a lot more harder than learning how to hit you normal way . Practice, Practice, Practice,.... It will give another tool for his game. Good luck & Have fun
