Short Arming the ball

Paul, your right you've really got your work cut out for you. Break each of his movements down step by step. A camcorder is great for this. what your looking for are the timing in his movements . His body is trying to confensate for balance, strength etc... use the camccorder on both mounds and compare the mechanics. Even more specific I would check for hips to rotate and the back foot to lift out of the toe holes. his release position should look like a triangle. Try him at the same distance on flat ground using a 4-seam fast ball only. tell him that's the only pitch you want him to throw on or off the mount. lastly , maybe he can pitch that mound yet.
