Mike, I think the size & weight of the bat, as well as the size, age, and current ability of the child is very important. Sometimes I see kids with what I call more bat than they can handle. Easton is a good choice and they have a very good reputation as far as customer satisfaction. One thing for sure no matter how great the bat claims to be ... The batter still has to hit the ball.
