Are you calling akid out for making a choice according to the rule 7.08 (a) (3). Because he has just as much right to the base path as the defender, The other option is the defender does not have to make the tag .As a matter of fact the defender could very well be called for obstuction. It sounds to me on the surface that the baserunner doesn't stand a chance. This rule has been mis-understood for years to favor the defender. See rule 7.06 (a)(b)
