LL vs. Pony

By: Charles W. Swenson

If the LL is a good league, or as good or better than the Pony I would stay at LL. The reason is pitching and catching. At the age of 12 and down, I think it is better for the pitcher and catcher to focus on the hitter, learn to throw strikes, let the catcher learn to frame and all of that stuff a catcher needs to learn. The rule of dropped third strike and lead offs is more than I think 12 and under should handle. Other than that, the quality of the league would be important.
