Your favorite tournament format

As a coach, I'd prefer the "pool to pool" format, however that gets long. AAU Nationals advance you from a prelim pool round, to championship pool round, to a single elim to determine 1-8! It's the single elim. that gets teams. How would RAD feel if the Stars lost 1 game and a team with 2-3 losses won the 12-U?

For weekend tourneys, I like the 3-4 game pools, with winners going to single elim for 1-4 place. This really tests your pitching staff management skills. JT
