Let's face it - LL is a monopoly and the majority of those who run it do not want any competition from another baseball organization. But the story that needs to be told is that there is nothing wrong with having another organization which offers a progam of better competition and opportunity for those who are the most talented and dedicated to the sport of playing baseball, and maybe rid themselves of the problems of LL. LL has so many problems (just ask the parents) such as the the favoritism which is practiced by those who run it which becomes readily apparent during the season and at All Star selection time. Give parents the opportunity to choose which way they and their children would like to go when it comes to playing baseball. Such opportunities and choices exists for parents and children in the other major youth sports such as soccer, basketball, swimming, etc., but not in youth baseball. LL needs to reexamine itself and change the way it operates or it will continue to lose participants.
