Average Hitting Distance For A 13 Year Old.....

I'm not sure that I agree with your theory. I believe that hitting mechanics, timing, bat speed, and the speed of the pitch play a much bigger role in hitting distance than the player's weight does. I do think that a player that is heavier can make up for some of the lack of good mechanics, bat speed, and timing with his weight though. On my sons 10&U team one of our lightest players (75# tops, but tall for his age) is our best power hitter, frequently hitting the ball 170' to 230'. Once he hit it to the 250' fence. Our heaviest 2 players, 130#, hit the ball about 160' to 180' tops. Every now and then they might mash one, but they just don't have the bat speed or the timing to be consistent power hitters.
