Who Are You?
By: Al
Wanted to tell you a little about us. I am a computer analyst with NCR Corporation and work in Rancho Bernardo, Calif. I am 52 and have been coaching rec baseball and softball team for 20+ years. My oldest son Albert is 29 and the next one David is 9 (20 years apart and one marriage!) Eric is our youngest is 7. We were blessed to have 2 children after 20 years and many years of trying (what ever was broke fixed itself). I started the InfoSports site in July of 1996. Back then there weren't many youth sports sites around (us, Jon's - Northhampton LL, and a few more). Initially I started the site to sell the League Assistant database. The focus of the site changed about 6 months later to be more of a general service to the youth sports community. We started that phase by sharing the Baseball Message Board with Jon Hoelter's Competitive Youth Baseball site. Things continued to gradually change to what we have today. Currently I'll be coaching my youngest son's "Coach Pitch" Little League team. We live in the beautiful city of Temecula, CA having moved here last April from Dayton, OH. We lived in Dayton about 23 years. I enjoy reading the posts and being able to host the web site. Over time, the site should become more popular as we adjust it to meet the needs of the community. We have a zero advertising budget though and rely on you telling your friends about the site and the search engines to bring folks to the site. Looking forward to many years with the site and meeting many youth sports enthusiasts along the way.
