9&10 yr. old Minor "A" Div, question??

Jon,

Mostly I was thinking about the catchers
throwing out runners trying to steal
third. I rarely have a catcher throw to
third if there is already a runner there -
unless I totally trust the catcher, 3b, and
LF since stealing home is allowed.
It's hard for 9s and 10s to throw out
a runner stealing 2b when the runner can
lead off and leave before the pitcher even
releases the ball - but a good catcher, 3b,
and a heads-up LF can prevent them from
stealing 3b and even tag some outs in the
process. It is a play that deserves some
extra practice anyway.

Thanks for answering my question. I can see
where the differences will determine where you
place your talent on the field. Third base is
a pretty important position in our league due
to the differences in our rules.
