Youth Fielding Gloves

Hi Mike,

My son is 9 and also plays middle infield. He
uses a Wilson A2000 11" middle inf. model PSTS.
It is a bit pricey at $159 but it will last him
a few years. He loves it. The glove is a Pro
model but it's got a nice fit for his smaller
hand. I have also heard the Mizuno MCL4000(10 1/2") and
the MCL4001(11") are nice gloves for middle inf. These
are the Classic series gloves and are also about
$160. A less expensive alternative would be the
Mizuno MVT1100 Vintage 11" which runs about $80
or $90. I wouldn't get anything bigger than an
11" for middle infield. The Rawlings Gold Glove
Series are nice but they all felt too big and
loose for my son's hand.

Hope this helps,
Kathy
