Catcher throwing times: How good is good

By: Bear
Add to Mixx!

Good Times for you.

Two questions:
1. What times do you have from a nasty hammer
pitch in the dirt ?

2. How many do you miss / drop in a game ?

Two 16U catchers in Maryland that are on
my follow list, I have timed throw @ 1.95
on perfect pitch.

Another 17U state catcher I like is 1.9.

Two other catchers in Bear Classic were under
2.0 and both grad in 2000.

A 1999 grad catcher, & may be headed to Hofstra
was 2.05.

Besides arm strenght, most 'rookies'
improve with better splits @
Glove to Hand separation.

cheers
Bear
